Master bathroom with freestanding bath against a charcoal feature wall and large walk-in shower

Interiors, designed and fitted.

One pair of hands from first drawing to final handover — across Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and the North East.

The difference

Most building work passes through many hands. Mine doesn’t. The person who measures your room designs it; the person who designs it builds it. That is why the tile lines up with the niche, the brass matches across three bathrooms, and the job finishes when I said it would.

I’m Hadrian Holmes — an interior designer and fitter working across the North East. High-end domestic work is the heart of it: bathrooms above all, kitchens, and whole-house renovations, with commercial fit-outs alongside.

The unglamorous part

The finish is only as good as what’s behind it.

Steels, first-fix pipework, tanking, level floors. I photograph the stages most trades hide, because that’s where a job is won — long before the brass goes on.
